The stay was wonderful! The bed is so comfy! The view in the junior suite was beautiful with two windows. The staff was always helpful. Room 233 isn't good. No window. Small. But when I asked for another room...in no time I had a beautiful room on the sixth floor. I plan on coming back! Thank you Fairmont Hotel Vancouver!
Awesome! From the minute we checked in until we checked out. The staff was amazing and the rooms were very clean!
Everything about the stay can be described in a word: fine. The shower door had a massive gap underneath the glass and no type of seal, so it just leaked out onto the bathroom floor and soaked the bathmat whenever you took a shower. The concierge was excellent though and shared some super helpful and relevant information about the Vancouver Marathon, which was the reason for my stay.
all worked out well
excellent.
We were compensated for our negative experience, are grateful for that. But zero sleep is never a good experience. They are fully aware of the constant in wall noise in room 1056. It should never be full rate & only rented after dark as the only the view is other rooftops. We came for respite & ease of the Gold Room experience. Yet the morning food was cold at opening. There were other inconsistencies in the service we were accustomed to. So now we will consider other hotels next stay. And that's sad.

For the amount it costs to stay at a Fairmont hotel, I am generally underwhelmed with the experience. The staff were all very nice and helpful and the room was nice. However, the sounds from outside of the room - from the elevators, the street and neighbouring rooms - were quite noticeable and kept waking me up while I was trying to go to sleep. I strongly dislike the use of electronic monitoring of mini bar use because it prevents you from even picking up and looking at the available items. Even though these systems are used by many major hotels, I find them to be tacky and out of sync with the elegant feel of a Fairmont hotel. I was disappointed by the food and beverage selection at the lounge. I found the food options to be indistinguishable from other comparable lounges around the town and the selection was rather boring. I would have liked to see more than a single option for non-alcoholic beer (corona), as most establishments have multiple, high-quality options. Overall, I was disappointed with my stay and I would choose somewhere else for my next visit.
